This past weekend...

These are pics from the NNS Race and backwards I might add

We're back. Got back Sunday night. My DH didn't take off of work so we drove all day Sunday from Boone, NC back home, he had an hour to take a break, shower and then get ready for work. He worked a 12hr shift and surpisingly he made it back home Monday.
My mother-in-law came back with us and I'm very thankful she's here, it made the trip very bearable. The dogs are back in their routine.

I've got pictures from the NNS race that was on Friday night and pictures from the Sprint Cup race in Bristol. I'm just going to let you figure them out.

But I'll sum the whole trip up and describe my experience. We left Thursday night and stayed just east of Nashville, I wanted to be on the road to try and kill some space between us and Boone. I get motion sickness very easily now, thank you hormones, and going up and down a mountain while being in the back seat trying to entertain my very observant 10 month old isn't a good thing for me. Good thing, I didn't throw up. But I wasn't feeling up to dealing with people at that time. We met my mother and brother-in-law at the hotel and set up and rested. Then Grayson and I went to Bristol for the race. We drove on a road that is the road from, I'll say it, HELL! Dude. That's in my next blog.

Both races were great, the NNS race got to see Kyle Busch hit the wall and it was his fault not the other driver he plowed into. He drove the rest of the race without a front end or engine hood. It was funny. My favorite driver got a hole in his radiator and didn't finish the race. He usually doesn't race in the NNS so it was not too big of a deal. The odd thing is that he was driving a Toyota.
Sprint Cup race was decent. Again my driver didn't do too well. We left early because we were parked at someone's house a few miles away and it started to rain. Kyle Busch won, boo hiss. This is my issue with him, he's arrogant, a jerk, and he whines more than a 3 year old and needs a big attitude adjustment. Now as much as I hate to say this he's a really good driver. He just needs to grow up. In my next blog entry when I talk about the evil road briefly I will post some pics from the Sprint cup race.

  1. Great pics. We watched most of the Sprint Cup. And I TOTALLY agree about Kyle... I cannot stand him! And I don' think he's that great of a driver, I think he's gotten lucky some, but over all he's not all that good... Such a whiner! ...lol hhhmmm get that I don't like him? ;o) Sorry about Hell road.
