Gentlemen, start your engines!
Today is the start of the NASCAR season. I've looked back on the past year and first it's hard to think it's been a year already. A ton of changes have happened with in that past year, duh the biggest and best change as been the birth of my son. Another big change is due to the birth of my son, my career change from surveillance agent at a casino to mother. I still thank God everyday for this opportunity and I still really admire working mothers (single or married). Now as much as it would pain me, I think I could go back to work if there was a decent daycare around here and I could find a job.
Last year this time my husband and I were in Daytona for the Daytona 500. It was great, I got to get Kasey Kahne's autograph and a few others. Two weeks later we were at the Las Vegas race and the week before that we found out I was pregnant. Now, I'm sitting on my floor next to my son sleeping in his chair/rocker thingy. He's wearing his Raising Kahne onesie, pants, and a bib and not wearing any socks (I've done every thing short of using staples and tape, which I wouldn't do any way).
It's really great, this is what I've always expected and I can't wait until he's older to understand the love that his daddy and I have for him.
Guess this isn't too much about racing huh? Oh, well.
