Wow...

Happy Friday! Yeah, I know the day is almost over but it's been pretty busy that last few days and I got lil man to bed early tonight and I get to blog and catch up and basically just veg-out. Tuesday was lil man's birthday, he had a cupcake and wasn't really to much into it. His first time with sugar. Yeah he has the sugars from the fruit but that's all natural, we're talking about refined sugar and powdered sugar. I made the cupcakes from scratch as well as the icing/frosting! I don't know if I mentioned that in the previous entry but oh well. I'll post pictures later.

Wednesday we had a doctor's appointment he's doing great! 23.6lbs and 30 inches long. Doc was impressed that I'm still nursing. We were going to get his flu shot also that day but since he had a bit of the sniffles and a cough we decided against it and the doc said that it was a good decision for us to do that. He had his shots also. I'm getting better with them. I CAN'T stand needles! You should have seen me when I had to have IVs last year and when the doc came in to the room for my epidural my DH and I told the doc not to let me see the needle in anyway shape or form. I would have had the baby in the parking lot if I had seen the needle, ok being realistic here maybe the hallway. LOL. But I'm trying to be strong for my son.

Last night, Thursday, DH, myself, and about 15 other people from our church went to Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis for the Matt Redman & Casting Crowns concert. Ohmygoodness! First let me say, that church is HUGE! They have 3 services in the morning. I think it has something like 30,000+ members. That's larger than the town I live in! Now on to the concert and I will start with the trip. We made good time until we hit West Memphis/Marion, AR. Do not I repeat DO NOT stop at the Wendy's in that area if you are travelling through, I think the elderly who usually walk slow or have those slow moving motorized chairs move faster! Yes they were that slow. We got to the concer and missed the beginning of Matt Redman, but what we got was awesome! And yes he does have an awesome accent! Casting Crowns blew me away. Their music is just about my speed, Matt Redman too, it keeps me energized. So we got the CDs that night. I was very tired and yet still ready to keep moving.

Today I've listened to the CDs all day. Lil man likes them and he's danced to the upbeat songs. I was able to get a nap in today. Tomorrow is a very busy day. We've got the chili cook-off in town that we're going to and then later that afternoon we're having his birthday party. I have not a clue who's coming, people don't know how to RSVP anymore the only person I gave an okay to is a friend of ours (her hubby works with mine) is because they're not sure if they can come due to their son having Kawasaki's. I will say this if they go to the cook-off and don't come to the party, I will be pissed because there are more people around that have colds and what-not at the cook out and people don't know how to cover their mouths when out in public in this area. Yeah, I'm selfish like that. I've told people that they don't have to get any presents and I'm very serious about that. We're going to have the party at the bowling alley in town. I know the owner and we're using the room for free. I'll blog on Sunday or Monday about the outcome of the party. I just want everyone to have fun. Well, I'm going to hit the hay. I'm exhausted.
