Gracie is still with us for the time being. We had plans on putting her down today. We knew the vet would check her out first. Well, last night something happened she ate almost all of her food and her lymphnodes have gotten a bit smaller. After basically not eating her food for the past few days she ate, albeit from my hands but she still ate. The vet told us that he is 99% sure it is cancer but if she can make it the rest of the summer and through the winter, he thinks it'll be spring. We are going to keep a closer eye on her when she stops eating her food and human food for a few days and other signs that's when we know it's the end.
It didn't feel right, to be putting her down this early. We'll still keep her on meds to help her function the heat isn't helping. The heat will make a healthy dog's lymphnodes swell.
So we get to spend some more time with our princess and both Sr. and I are happy about that. I've got more news but I've got to sort it all out to explain it to everyone.
Have a great day and THANK YOU to all my friends and family who supported us through this stressful time. I just hope that I can be there for you if you need me.
