Sometimes I have thoughts that I want to express to you all, especially when something as tragic as the shooting in CT last week. But then something stops me, I've had at least a week to think about things from last week. I hugged my babies closer and still do. That Friday my 4 year old asked me why I was crying.
What do you tell a 4 year old? Do you tell him exactly what happened hoping he could think logically about it? I asked him to give me a few minutes to compose myself, unfortunately mommy cries A LOT. So he knows what to do, play. :) I came back and told him that someone very bad went to a school and hurt a lot of kids and some teachers. He asked if those kids went to heaven, I said yes. He said, "Oh, they're okay. They are with God and Jesus now." That made me tear up again. He then asked if he could go play and I asked for another hug and kiss, he sighed and gave in and he went to play.
Most of you know I am quite the conservative. If you didn't, you do now. If you like to have guns in your house then go for it. If you don't please have a bat or something to protect yourself. I have 2 black belts in 2 different styles of martial arts. I am all for protection. I like guns too. I'm for tazers, pepper spray, or even a can of bug spray. Heck, some poopie diapers I have changed in the past either from my kids, my nephews, or the kids I used to babysit could be considered worse than pepper spray.
It isn't the gun. I saw someone post on twitter the day of the shooting that a crazy person in China went into a school with a knife and mutilated children with it. It isn't the object, it is the person behind the object that uses it for good or evil.
This is a note for that "news person" Piers Morgan: You sir, are an IDIOT!!!!
