FINALLY, I have something to write about!

Well, there are tons of things to write about.  But I want to be a little bit humorous!!!

I've mentioned my brother-in-law before and that he's 6 years younger than my husband and I.  I'm 35 (almost 36).

This started in Arkansas, we were getting mailings for him about schools, furthering education.  That was annoying but okay, we just trashed it, he didn't live with us and I wasn't going to waste money to send it back.  Well, we moved to Texas and for about 6 months or so we didn't get anything for him.  That was fine and it was less trash.  Then one day I head out to the mailbox, sigh, there was something for my brother-in-law.

It was for a nursing home!  Seriously?!  My jaw dropped, my father-in-law (who lives with us) was expecting something, opened the door and asked me what was wrong.  I handed him the flyer and started cracking up.  He was sort of confused and I told him to look who it was sent to, he almost fell to the floor!

So for the last 2 years we have been getting sporadic mailers for my brother-in-law for hearing-aids,  wheelchairs, nursing homes.  If it had anything to do with seniors it was sent here to my brother-in-law.  So, I have started calling these people and telling them they are wasting paper.

It's not clicking with some of them.

One group I called and asked them to take address off the list.  They asked why, I said he doesn't live with my family or in Texas.  They asked what his address was now, I said haven't a clue and wouldn't give it to them in the first place.  Then the knuckle-head asked me what really was going on.  Really?  Okay, 1. He doesn't live with us 2. He lives in North Carolina 3. He's bloody 6 years younger than I am and I am 35!

The dude still didn't understand.  Wow. I just told him, if I got another mailer from their company I would make sure they got it back.  I was polite the whole time and asked for a supervisor.  I proceeded to inform the supervisor of the situation and asked for compliance in my request.  Thankfully, we haven't heard from those people.

Now, it's hearing aids.  Weeeeee.....
