Thoughts

Adoption is NOT for the weak of heart. I have seen that with what my cousin and his wife have been going through recently.

First, let me give you a quick and little back story about them, they have a beautiful daughter together (she has an awesome son from a previous marriage), a few years back they adopted a bright little boy from Ethiopia (N) he has grown and flourished being in their care. I haven't had the honor to meet him yet but love reading about him and another boy (E) that they adpoted, around the time I had my little boy. E is also from Ethiopia. http://4blessed.blogspot.com/ is her website. And it talks about their journey.

Last year, A (my cousin's wife) prayed and discussed it with D (my cousin) about something on her heart. She wanted to adopt 2 more children from Ethiopia. These young men are older than N and E but not teenagers yet. There are issues that are hindering these 2 boys in being adopted. I don't know the details but it breaks my heart just reading on Facebook what they are going through and I think about them daily and pray that this mountain is moved and that all the players are where they need to be to get this mountain moved.
I truly hope that these boys will be able to experience the love that D & A and the rest of their family want to give them.

I admire any one who wants to adopt or be a foster parent, for the right reasons. I say that because there are some really mean and sick people out there. But not the ones that I have read about or met during my life. All three of my husband's aunts have.adopted children. 2 of the aunts adopted girls from China before the country allegedly cut off adoptions to single Americans. The other aunt and her husband adopted a boy from the U.S.

To all you parents who have or are adopting children and the ones who have decided to foster children. Thank you for opening your homes and hearts. You are more special than you think.
