So far so good. For about a month before we started this, I had been explaining to Lil Man that we were going to have stop the binky soon. I honestly wa going to do this over 2 or 3 months, but he started iwanting it more and sneaking it during the day time. So, I shortened the time frame. I figured new year new attitude all around.
My friend Shannon gave me a great reminder, that if I take it away too soon, he could start sucking his thumb. I was very aware this can happen, because it happened to me. I only had a binky when I slept, no other time (at least from what I can remember). Well, when I was about 4, I guess they thought it was time for me to get rid of the binky. According to my brother I screamed and pitched a fit. So, he stuck my thumb in my mouth to get me to stop. It was a VERY long time until I stopped.
But so far so good. It has only been a week. I'll make another post in 3 weeks.
