#ashamed

Hey y'all! Tonight on twitter @ 9pm EST there is going to be a discussion about those horrible ads that are up in the state of Georgia about childhood obesity. I am going to try my darnedest to take part because although this is real, the people who are putting these ads on billboards and TV are NOT approaching this the right way.
I was not obese as a child, but I had friends who could've been, by today's standards, described as obese. No one puts family genetics into a factor anymore. I've got short and tall people on both sides of my family, also some skinny and some not-so-skinny. Want to hear a shocker? They eat pretty healthy and exercise! Now there are some who don't, I have been guilty of that. WE ALL HAVE!!!!!
So, If I don't see you, understand the vast majority of parents are actually watching what their kids eat and doing it along with them. Let parents be parents. Take the awful billboards down. There is a better way to encourage parents and their children to eat and live healthier if they aren't.
