Our family trip...The visit

Ok, I guess I've held out long enough. It's been weighing on my mind about how much "personal opinion" I need to put into this post, because although I love my husband's family, I don't like one of them and some others just irritate the snot out of me at times.
Well, we went there for my BIL's wedding. Which I mentioned in the travel post. They were actually already married, they went to the JOP in November of last year, but didn't tell us until about 6 weeks before the wedding and only because their pastor told them that if they didn't tell people in the wedding party the truth, he wasn't going to perform the ceremony.
So they finally told us. To say that I was upset is putting it nicely. I was mad beyond belief! Shelled out a ton of money to fly out there. Gah! Obviously, we went. Sr, Lil Man, and I were all in the wedding. Lil Miss was the lucky one. The wedding all in all was good.
We went to Morganton to spend some time with FIL's side of the family. I love these people! They remind me of both sides of my family and I am VERY comfortable with them. I am not tense.  Now I am not saying that my MIL's side of the family is totally bad.  I am just not comfortable.  I come from a family of talkers but we take turns and have one conversation in one room. Not 4 in one room.  It is very tiring and stressful to try to be in them all and then add children into that equation, my brain wants to explode.
We visited the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC which was wonderful and I think the next time we go we're dropping the kids off  and go as adults.  I was able to spend time with a friend I haven't seen since we graduated high school.  That was absolutely wonderful, she hasn't changed one bit.  I got to see my cousin Lisa Frame, I love her, she gets me.
I know that wasn't much detail as the flight was but I am glad to be back home.
